Dark Phoenix Publishing is in the process of opening its doors to creator-owned material. For those of you unfamiliar with creator-owned material, it is material where the person making the material -usually a writer or artist- owns the stories, characters, plots and has all licensing rights to the product.
To begin in June 2012, Dark Phoenix will publish creator-owned material in the RPG industry. The material we will consider will be for any game system so long as the game system does not conflict with any current copyrights, patents or trademarks or that proper licensing was acquired. We will handle the distribution as well as other ends to ensure that the material published has th best possible chance at success.
Dark Phoenix will act as publisher and all creators/studios will retain their own copyright and trademark. Dark Phoenix will assist where needed, and help creators/studios create their work by providing a detailed map of the industry and points to accomplish along the way.
