Rumor Has It

Rumor has it there's a new logo coming out for 2013? Yes. We're currently talking with a very talented artist to see if we can get a new logo for 2013. We felt like a change would serve us well. There was a minor issue with copyright that had not come to our attention until after we used the logo for the better part of two years. After finding out part of the logo design was used in dozens of other artworks we were contacted by the original artist. After discussing the matter with the artist and how the logo came into our hands we decided the best option was for us to discontinue the use of the old logo and have the artist commissioned to draft us a new logo. In this way, we will show off their artwork with full credit to the artist in question and there won't be dozens of variations of our logo out there. We're very keen on protecting our IP but when things happen all you can do is discuss things behind closed doors and find the best possible solution.

Unfortunately this news won't sit well with certain rumor mongers. We have had several meetings between staff members (Raquel Looker, Jeff Spry, John Gerschoffer and myself) to decide how to handle them and their rabid guessing and accusations. Our policy shall be simply to address what we can without them trolling our pages and networks (because nothing's as unprofessional as trolling someone) and any others will be banned from our networks. We understand you can't please everyone and some will stomp their feet at their guesses but in reality, no one knows what we're doing except us. We won't apologize for being so tight lipped about our practices and we won't name who we do business with until things are finalized. Sorry, that's just how we (and our affiliates) do business.

Moving on to better news, we heard from the production company handling our movie. They loved the material we sent them and writers are working on pounding out a script. I have been working with the company representatives to get a working script as soon as possible. However, after hyper-extending my leg, I had to postpone the flight to LA. Out of commission for six weeks, I am back in the office and working with artists and writers on getting more books done. Lilliana is in the last legs of production and the Player's Guide for Vampire: Undeath is 1/3 finished. Cherche is still out with writer Bryan Akers finishing up his work on the Sourcebook. Eligiere and the Beurian Sourcebooks are in development, getting the same treatment the Bucoli and Daemoni Sourcebooks received  players will soon see the connection between Eligiere and Beurian vampires and a look at the Old World.

Shapeshifters is still in development along with Mage. The holdup with Mage has been over a year now with playtesting at a minimal. What's the problem you ask? Getting it just right. We've seen other Mage games that just over-complicate things or make you do too much. Trying to create a game series that has flow and takes other games into consideration is a very difficult task.
