Description: Embrace Your Demons (“The
Contest”) begins at 12:00 midnight Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 30th,
2014 and entries must be received no earlier than 12:00 Midnight ET on January 31st,
2014 (“Entry Start”) and no later than February 28th, 2014 at 11:59pm. The computer at Dark Phoenix Publishing shall be known as
the official clock for the Contest. The Dark Phoenix Publishing of this Contest
is Dark Phoenix Publishing, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49546. The Contest shall be
subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be
bound by the terms and conditions herein.
Contest Eligibility: The Contest is offered and open to legal U.S.
residents (permanent residents of the continental United States including
Alaska and Hawaii) who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void
where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state and local laws apply. By
participating, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
How to Enter: You may enter this Contest by sending us a request on
our Facebook page ad for the Contest or by email. Information required consists
of entrant’s First Name, Last Night, City, State, Zip, Date of Birth, email
address and 250 characters or less about why you should win. Online entries
must be received by 11:59pm on February 28th, 2014.
Limit one (1) Entry per person. Each valid Entry may be referred to
herein as an “Entrant.” Entries by the same person in excess of this limit will
be disqualified and result in a block/ban from future Contests and/or our
Facebook page or other pages we operate including blogs, forums, email correspondence,
etc. Dark Phoenix Publishing is not responsible/liable for any incorrect or
inaccurate entry information; human errors; technical malfunctions; failures,
omissions, interruptions, deletions or defects or any telephone network,
computer systems, computer equipment, servers, providers, or software, including
without limitation any injury or damage to participants or any other persons
computer relating to or resulting from participation in the Contest; inability
to access the Web Site; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access
to, or alteration of, Entries; data that is processed late or incorrectly or is
incomplete or lost due to telephone, computer or electronic malfunction or
traffic congestion on telephone lines or the Internet or any web site
(including the Web Site) or for any other reason whatsoever; mail that is late,
lost, stolen, mutilated, misdirected or postage due; typographical, printing or
other errors. Illegible, incomplete and Entries in excess of the limits stated
above and mechanically reproduced Entries will be disqualified. All Entries
become the property of Dark Phoenix Publishing and will not be acknowledged or
returned. False, fraudulent or deceptive Entries or acts shall render Entrants ineligible.
By entering this Contest, Entrants affirm that they have read and accepted
these
Official Rules.
Drawing: One (1) potential Grand Prize winner will be selected at the
duration of this Contest. From all eligible Entries received by Dark Phoenix
Publishing, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to
this Contest. Potential Grand Prize winners will be notified by electronic
means (Facebook, email, etc). Grand Prize winners will have a complete
collection of material published by Dark Phoenix Publishing sent to them
electronically. The collection includes: The Vampire: Undeath Standard Corebook,
The Makers Sourcebook, Bucoli Sourcebook, Cherche Sourcebook, Daemoni
Sourcebook, House Nicolai Sourcebook and the Lyhin Sourcebook. Grand Prize
winners will also have the opportunity to purchase the Obia Sourcebook and the
Eligiere Sourcebooks before their official release at a discounted price.
Runners up will be awarded the standard Vampire: Undeath Corebook and other
assorted prizes ranging from Redemption coupons to Sourcebooks or discounts on
future goods. Grand Prize winner must agree to accept the prize within
forty-eight (48) hours of attempted notification. Noncompliance within this
time frame and these Official Rules will result in disqualification and an
alternate winner will be selected. If an alternate winner is selected, this
winner will be required to accept the prize within twenty-four (24) hours of
attempted notification. Noncompliance within this time frame and these Official
Rules will result in disqualification.
Limitations on Liability: Dark Phoenix Publishing shall not be liable
to a prize winner or any other person for failure to supply a prize or any part
thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s)
or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not
the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid),
equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion,
unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether
legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of
any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other
cause beyond the sole control of Dark Phoenix Publishing.
General Information: Any information collected by registering to enter
the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Official Contest
Rules.
By participating in and entering this Contest, Entrants agree that
Dark Phoenix Publishing shall not be liable for personal injuries, death,
damages, expenses or costs or losses of any kind resulting from participation
or inability to participate in this Contest or parts thereof or acceptance of,
use of or inability to use a Prize or parts thereof including, without
limitation, claims, suits, injuries, losses and damages related to personal
injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or
privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light (whether intentional or
unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including
negligence), warranty or other theory. The prize winner agrees to release the
Dark Phoenix Publishing any and all liability and responsibility with respect
to the prize (including any property loss, damage, personal injury or death).
The prize winner(s) acknowledges the aforementioned individuals and entities
have neither made nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty,
representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, related
to the prize.
If for any reason this Contest or part thereof is not capable of running
as planned, or if this Contest or any web site, page or email address associated
therewith (or any portion thereof), including but not limited to the Web Site
becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Contest and
processing of Entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by
computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by Entrants
(or others), fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Dark
Phoenix Publishing's sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration,
security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Dark
Phoenix Publishing reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify
any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify,
or suspend this Contest or any portion thereof. In the event this Contest is
cancelled, Dark Phoenix Publishing will conduct a random drawing to award the
prize from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to the time
of the action or event warranting such cancellation. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT
OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE, PAGE OR EMAIL
ADDRESS (INCLUDING THE WEB SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST
IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE
MADE, THE DARK PHOENIX PUBLISHING RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER
REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. If a dispute
arises about who submitted an Entry, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the
authorized account holder of the Facebook account associated with the Entry. A
potential prize winner may be requested to provide Dark Phoenix Publishing with
proof that the potential prize winner is the authorized account holder of the
email address associated with the winning Entry and that all eligibility
requirements are met.
NOTE: Entry must be made by the Entrant only at the Web Site according
to these Official Rules. Entries made by any other individual or any entity,
and/or originating at any other web site or page, including, but not limited
to, commercial Contest or Contest subscription notification and/or entering
service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Contest. The
use of any device or computer software to automate the Entry process is prohibited.
IMPORTANT: This Contest is not in any manner Dark Phoenix sponsored,
endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. You understand that you
are providing your information to Dark Phoenix Publishing and its designees and
not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for as stated in
these Contest Official Rules. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant releases
and agrees to indemnify Facebook and hold it harmless from and against any and
all costs, claims, damages, (including, without limitation, any special,
incidental or consequential damages), or any other injury, whether due to
negligence or otherwise, to person(s) or property (including, without
limitation, death or violation of any personal rights, such as violation of
right of publicity/privacy, libel, or slander), due in whole or in part,
directly or indirectly, to participation in the Contest, or arising out of the
receipt, use/misuse of, or participation in any Contest-related or
Prize-related activity.

Requests received after March 1, 2014 will not be honored. This Contest shall
be governed by the laws of the state of Michigan in the United States of
